How ClassCommand collects, uses and protects the data of schools, staff, students and parents on our platform.
ClassCommand ("ClassCommand", "we", "us", "our") is a school management ERP built and operated by Coding Warriors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard information when a school ("Institution"), and the admins, teachers, students and parents connected to that Institution ("Users"), use our website, web console and mobile apps (together, the "Service").
Because ClassCommand is used by schools to manage student records, an Institution is typically the data controller for the student and staff information entered into the Service, and ClassCommand acts as a data processor on the Institution's behalf. This Policy describes our practices as both a processor for Institutions and a controller for the account and usage data we collect directly.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service and contact your Institution's administrator.
We collect information in three broad categories:
We use the information above to:
We do not use student data to serve advertising, and we do not sell student, parent or staff data to third parties.
We share information only in the following circumstances:
We apply industry-standard safeguards to protect the data on our platform. A full breakdown is available on our Security page, and includes:
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we work continuously to strengthen our safeguards and respond promptly to any incident.
We retain Institution and student data for as long as the Institution's subscription is active, plus a reasonable period afterwards to allow for data export, academic-record continuity and legal or board-compliance requirements. An Institution may request deletion of its data at any time, subject to statutory retention periods that may apply to academic and financial records. See our Cancellation Policy for what happens to your data when a subscription ends.
ClassCommand is designed to hold student records on behalf of schools, and much of this data belongs to minors. We treat it with additional care.
Student accounts and records are created and managed by the Institution, which is responsible for obtaining any consent from parents or guardians required under applicable law before entering a student's data into the Service. We process this data strictly on the Institution's instructions, do not use it for advertising, and restrict staff access to what is necessary to operate and support the platform.
Parents who have questions about their child's data should contact their Institution directly, as the Institution controls what is stored and who can access it. We support Institutions in responding to such requests promptly.
Depending on your role and applicable law, you may have the right to:
Requests relating to student or staff records are generally directed through the Institution, since it controls the underlying data; requests relating to your ClassCommand account itself can be sent to us directly using the details in the Contact Us section.
Our website and web console use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences and understand how the Service is used. Full details, including how to manage your preferences, are in our Cookie Policy.
Our infrastructure is primarily hosted in India. Where any data is processed by a sub-processor outside India — for example a communications or analytics provider — we require appropriate contractual safeguards to protect that data to a standard consistent with this Policy.
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will post the revised version here with an updated "Last updated" date, and notify Institution administrators of material changes.
